Piet Mondrian the complex paintings of Dutch neoplasticism

Piet Mondrian

Piet Mondrian, whose real name is Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan, is a Dutch painter known for founding Neoplasticism together with his compatriot and friend Theo van Doesburg.

His art was utopian and focused on the search for universal and aesthetic values.
After the initial phase of figurative painting, it evolved in the abstract and then decided to use only the colors red, blue and yellow as primary colors, painting only vertical and horizontal lines.

He died in New York in 1944 at the height of his artistic success.
